PSWS Design Charrette

Personal Space Weather Station Design Charrette

Visit hamsci.org/PSWS for more information about the Personal Space Weather Station.

charrette (American pronunciation: /ʃɑːˈrɛt/French: [ʃaʁɛt]), often Anglicized to charette or charet and sometimes called a design charrette, is an intense period of design or planning activity.

As the Personal Space Weather Station evolves, we want to collect input from you to inform the design of the data system and analysis tools.
We're developing the PSWS database and Python package to access it according to a waterfall design model, where each design phase— gathering requirements, design, implementation, verification, and maintenance— occurs sequentially. Here's the plan:

1 September 2025 - 31 October 2025: We'll gather your input on this form.
November 2025: The features proposed will be consolidated into a requirements list.
December 2025: The results of the charrette will be presented at the AGU Fall Meeting.
January 2026: The final scoping and project management plan will be designed by the development team.
March 2026: Report to the HamSCI community at the HamSCI workshop.
April 2026—:The features will be implemented, tested, and maintained.

You can submit this form multiple times. Please fill it out once for each feature or comment. Don't worry about features being submitted more than once; we will consolidate them during the review process in November.
